It is with great regret that I make this announcement. I have reached a stage now where I feel I am unable to continue to run, maintain and onward develop these real-time combat meters and web site analysis for SWTOR.
There are many things that have brought me to this decision.
The VPS itself has caused me some serious concern and issues over the last 2 or 3 weeks, including the cost of hosting the VPS, but mainly poor performance of the VPS and rubbish customer support from the provider, I suppose this is a case of "you get what you pay for" and right now what I'm paying for isn't enough.
I am finding it increasingly difficult to balance the time I spend with [SWToR]Logs with the time I should be spending doing my real job, and a a result my real job has suffered over the last month or so. This has also lead to far less updates than I would have liked and [SWToR]Logs is missing many of the features I had originally planned, and in many cases had already started work on but never managed to finish.
And finally, which is the really sad bit for me, I'm finding SWTOR as a game far less compelling to play than I did during beta and into launch. Some of this is because of the state of the game at the moment and the lack-lustre commitment from EA and BioWare to do anything to improve the overall gaming experience, and this is more than just endgame content it ranges from poor service quality (how often have we seen random bugs, more bugs introduced by previous bugs "fixed", how often have we all said "laaaaaag" ), through promises not fulfilled, through to poor community relations: I have given up on any improvements from BioWare to the to content of the combat log data - which, if you remeber they added begrudgingly in the first place anyway and it was never really thought through properly, providing only a partial picture of what is really happening in a combat situation, I have also given up on any form of "armory" API functionality being provided by BioWar which would allow the community and guilds a much better over all "out-of-game" experience.
I will leave the service running until my VPS subscription expires, which is currently Monday 17th September 2012. At which point I will redirect the site to a holding page with a closure statement on it and at that point all desktop parsers will fail to connect.
Again, to all the current and past users of [SWTOR]Logs, thankyou for using the software, it's been fun while it lasted. Apologies that it has come to this but in the long term it is best to cut and run now instead of trying to plod along in a half-hearted way providing a gradually deteriorating sub-standard stagnated service. I hope you all understand.
All the best to you all and may the force be with you.
Scully.
SW:ToR Logs Closure
Real-Time Combat Log Parser
Welcome to the Star Wars : The old Republic (SW:ToR) Combat Log Parser and Analysis
Site. This project was created with the aim of processing data from the in-game
combat log files created by the MMO Star Wars : The Old
Replublic. The [SWToR]Logs real-time combat log parser system will read,
parse, and analyse your combat data displaying real-time in-game performance meters
and providing persitant storage of catyegorised combat data for analysis as it happens
or at a later date. Allowing you to visualise your combat per4formance with the
help of analysis graphs over time and detailed combat fight data showing you every
recorded action for individuals and groups durring any live or previously recorded
encounter. The key features and benefits currently provided are listed below, more
are being added as the site grows and the collected data set increases.
Real Time upload and analysis of combat log files
The SWToR Combat Log data is collected dirtectly from your Star Wars : The Old Republic
combat logs (as provided in patch 1.2) in as near real time as possible and transfered
dirtectly to our centralised servers for parsing, analysis and storing. As all the
work is done by our servers the load on your own PC is very small only requiring
you
to download and install a simple program to capture the data and handle
the displaying of the in-game overlay meters, This program has a simple and user firendly interface
and can be optionaly minmised to the system tray to un-obtrusively collect your
combat data without distrubing your game play.
In-Game Personal Meters
Help individual players improve their gameplay and character combat effectiveness
using the configurable in-game damage/healing/threat combat meters using overlayed
windows when running Star Wars : The Old Republic in windowed/windowed(fullscreen)
modes, these overlays are sympatheticaly themed so as not to interfere with the
gaming experience (see the screen shots) These meters will allow
the player to quickly see how well they are performing and the personal ability
meter will show instantly all the abilites used by the player categorised by damage/healing
and threat along with their output and rate values and optionaly overlayed threat
values for each of the abilities. All meters, both personal abd group can be toggled
on and off directly from the in-game combat log uploader dashboard
giving you full control over when and where you see your meters.
In-Game Group Meters
See how you are performing when ranked against your other opertaions group members,
see who has the highest dps, hps or tps for live fights as they happen. As all combat
log data for any operaions group is parsed and analysed centraly on the [SWToR]Logs
servers and only stored once with no duplication, all group members see the same
cionsistent real time view of fight data.
Real Time Live Web Combat Feeds
Want to see what your friends, guildies or enemies are fighting right now? Want
to share and discuss your performance as it happens? Using HTML5 Web Sockets Technology
on supported Browsers (Chrome, Firefox 12, Saffari, IE 10) the swtor combat log
data is transmited to our central servers for analysis and is immediately available
for live analysis, graphing and display via the
Live Combat Feed Monitor by means of live Web Socket broadcasting. See it as it happens...
Operations Group Management
Helping Operation leaders manage groups of players for combat data analysis to help
recognise strengths and weeknesses in their teams while progressing through end-game-content.
All combat data is stored cnentraly on the [SWToR]Logs server and all logs are
time normalised so that group fight data can be viewed, compared and analysed based
on time for group memebers across the world spanning several timezones. Groups can
be created and viewd via the Ops Dashboard found here or via the Combat Log Uploader "Make Group"
feature, all group members are immediately informed of their group status allowing them
to turn on group meters and participate in ready checks and break/rest calls.
Ready Checks and Rest Breaks
In-Game overlayed
ready check feature providing ops leaders with a quick and clear way to
see whos ready and whos not, streamling the time taken to get encounters
underway, for those that prefer this can also be controled from the Ops Dashboard component of the SWToRLogs
web site.
Graphical Historic Combat Log Parsing and Analysis
Browse and search for any combat data broken down by fight, encounter and
major protagonist detailing damage/healing/threat visualised over time and by ability.
See combat data or any groups combat data in simple to understand graphical
and tabular way helping you understand intricate details of a fight direct from the raw
combat log data, including who is hitting what, getting hit by what and
dying from what
Comparison of Performace Data
Compare fight and encounter data between any other recorded fight data previously
uploaded from any live feed or encounter. See how players, specs and classes stack-up
against each other. Visualise this data summarised side by side for quick checks
and drill down for full analysis using graphs, charts and tables to visualise combat
comparisons.
At the moment the site is very much in the eartly stages of development and as such
both functionality provided and data available for analysis is limited, but I'm
actively working on the site all the time and new features are being added on a
daily basis.
Parsed Combat log data is stored historicaly and damage/healing performance can be viewd in detail or using graphs to see any previous combat data grouped by player, charcter, fight, operations/flash point boss and encounter.
High Score Tables for Damage and Healing
View overall high score tables for a character damage or healing done to any NPC. Optionaly view high scores by operations or flash point boss and compare your performance to other players.

Currently this site will not fully function with versions of IE less than 10. This is because I'm focusing development on browsers that support HTML5 Web Sockets which are used for the live feeds and connection to the [SWToR]Logs central servers.
I appologise for this, and as soon as I have time i will revist aupport for earlier versions of IE and Opera, in the mean time the majorify of the site does work with IE9 but there will be no access to live data.
